For the first time in a long time, FunkyZeit is departing from their beloved Crucifix Lane and heading east to the Red Gallery.
Heading things up is a Frenchman we've been trying to bring to London for a long time, the one and only D'Julz.
One of the forerunners of the galvanized French scene, D'Julz has been around for a while. He's been at the forefront of electronic music since 92 and has released on some of the biggest and best, Ovum, Mobile, Poker Flat, Bass Culture, and Circus Company, to name a few.
He's also played at virtually every club worth playing, regularly appearing at spots like DC10, Output, Panorama bar, and Rex, where he holds down a residency.
Completing the lineup is house and techno supremo John Swing. A friend of FZ, we've been delighted to see the rise and rise of this enigmatic producer/DJ. RA recently described his style as 'rough around the edges but loaded with warm basslines, meaty kick drums and sassy vocal samples', which we think sums it up nicely.
