Looking into Senegalese Eyes - Photography exhibition Maria.Tomas-Rodriguez
Spanish artists Maria.Tomas-Rodriguez presents a series of pictures taken during various trips to Senegal. The photographer aims to show the beauty of its people, the strongly rooted traditions, their way of live and the magnificence of its landscapes.
A trip through the deepest and most isolated areas of the country reveals the simple yet beautiful way of living of the Senegalese people.
The photographer’s trips were due to charity reasons, she has involved in some work/development made on the Ossouye’s orphanage (Cassamance, South Senegal), an area badly affected in the 90’s by a cruel civil war. The exhibition will also showcase some pictures taken at the orphanage.
