As part of theEast End Film festival world premiere of “Lee Scratch Perry’s Vision of Paradise, exited” documentary Red Galleexcitedto announce a one-day exhibition by Lee Scratch Perry & Maria Sargarodschi paintings that arose from collaborating on this film

These two big paintings originate from an art collaboration between Lee Perry and Maria Sargarodschi. Maria created for the documentary’s the amazing animation figures that illustrate the world of Lee Perry and they both worked on a series of unique large-scale paintings.  Maria brought older works to Lee to let them gain his vibration and those paintings established this artistic collaboration which has indisputably one central motive: The symbiosis between painting and music.

The documentary is the ultimate portrait of one of the icons of contemporary music. Shoot over a period 15 years, Volker Schaner had unprecedented access to the man who can lay claim to being a godfather of both reggae and dub. Lee 'Scratch' Perry's Vision of Paradise is funny, poetic and frequently mind-blowing.
