Nonclassical bring together some of the key players in the new music revolution for a panel discussion exploring the contemporary classical music scene in London. Panelists to include Thom Andrewes, Kate Whitley, Tim Rutherford Johnson, Gabriel Prokofiev and Igor Toronyi-Lalic.

Elysian Quartet: One of the UK’s foremost quartets for contemporary music, the Elysian Quartet has worked closely with composers such as Meredith Monk and Graham Fitkin, and in 2012 performed Stockhausen’s notorious Helicopter Quartet as part of the first ever complete staging of his Mittwoch Aus Licht. The groupwas at the heart of Nonclassical’s beginnings ten years ago, performing at the first events and recording Gabriel Prokofiev’s first two quartets for release on the Nonclassical label.
ClapTON Ensemble: clapTON ensemble is committed to performing challenging repertoire by some of the most unique compositional voices of today. Founded by Elo Masing and Camilo Mendez, both living in Clapton (East London), it aims to showcase exciting new music that for some reason has rarely or never been performed in the UK.
